Our prayers are also with our friends in the UK. Prayers for the end of the violence and prayers for courage to get through until the end.

Luckyly we live about 100 miles north of London and were not directly affected by the bombings. We have managed to get in contact with my sister in law who lives in North London and everyone there is ok also.

One thing that those B*****ds don't realise is that there is no way Britains will ever give in to terrorists and mindless violence.

Having just watched the news, I find it comforting that all major religious leaders here in Britain, including the Muslim Council have condemned the attacks as cowardly and misguided.

I am not a religious person, but I have read enough to understand that all religions are based on more or less the same base thoughts. None of them say that you shall kill anyone who does not think like you do. Declarations that these atrocities are carried out in the name of some god is a cowards way of defering responsibility for their actions.

In the words of Winston Churhill:
"We shall not flag nor fail. We shall go on to the end. ........ We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be; we shall fight on beaches, landing grounds, in fields, in streets and on the hills. We shall never surrender and even if, which I do not for the moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, will carry on the struggle until ......the New World with all its power and might, sets forth to the liberation and rescue of the Old."

Thanks to everyone for keeping us in their thoughts.
Mike

To our brothers and sisters in London, and all of the United Kingdom, we send our condolences and our thoughts. Freedom rings too strongly in the UK, as it does in the rest of the free world, to be silenced by bombs. Pick up the pieces, clean up the debris, comfort the living, bury the dead, and let your resolve strengthen.

We shall defeat them, together.

Having been about 10 blocks away from the World Trade Center disaster in NYC during 9-11, I understand the shock, sadness, anger, etc. that comes from such a terrible act. Stay strong and live life!

Quite a shock as my sister and bro-in-law both work in London. We got a email last night telling us they were ok just holed up in her office wondering how to get home.If the 'plan' is firmly in place they should get these freaks. My sister has lived with this for many years during the last bombing campaign by the ira so she is pretty brave. There is a good world out there, thanks to the good guys. Ash

Thank you deeply all of the people in the Free World for being with us today.

People are dead. Many, many more people, going about their daily lives, trying to earn a crust, have been crippled and maimed for the rest of their lives - and my thoughts are with them now. My sister, and bother-in-law, both work in the city but are okay. My office is at the end of one of the tube lines that was bombed and we are still trying to find out if everyone is still alive. Luckily, I had a meeting elsewhere today - and I count my lucky stars that I was not 100 feet underground when some crazy mujahedeen jihadi bastard set off a bomb. I'm still shaking.

Right now, I'm watching the people of London stand united - a bus driver says "We CANT be beaten" (after knowing that one of his colleagues was just blown into pieces), a businessman says "Everyone will be at their desks tomorrow".

We will not be defeated.

I can't say anymore here, or I'll be banned.

Fish.

I know this is an emotinal time, but don't play their game.
This is not about race or religion! These actions are the cowardly and misguided teachings of some looney extremists, carried out by those who have been brainwashed by their rantings. I remind you of Adolf Hilter.

I work with many people of Asian and African descent, many of them follow the teachings of Allah, and they are as appaled by the bombings as we all are.

DO NOT confuse Muslim with Terrorist, because if you do, they have won.
Their aim is surely to induce more religous and racial hatred with the hope to turn white against black and muslim against christian in order to swell their ranks of followers.

The only way we will beat them is by standing shoulder to shoulder, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jew, Bhudist, Black, White, Yellow, Brown, Man, Women and Child, shouting in one voice-"Our freedom is not for the taking!"

Just my thoughts

Mike

Of course not!

There has to be a special place in Hell for those who twist idealistic youth into suicide bombers.
