Good Bye Mars

Well,
My GF and I just got back from an emergency vet visit. Our cat Mars had fallen off of our 3rd story balcony. And well, broke his 3rd and 6th vertabre and would never walk again. We had to put him to sleep, and only 5 years into his life.
He would like to eat all of my tropical tress, if and when he got the chance.

He was the most remarkable cat I have ever (and more than likely ever meet) me. He would comfort you when you were down, want to share in your joy. Wanted to meet everyone than came through the door. Would let out a loud MEOW to get your attention. Wasnt afraid of anything not even the bird.
RIP Mars you will be missed
Quote:
"Mars was chosen from a pet store by my girlfriend Sunshine. Acquired in 2000. He was chosen because he seemed so relaxed and independent. When he was taken out of his cage he walked around the room trying to find a way out. Sunshine feel in love instantly. When we brought him home, Athena had a fit hissing and growling at him. Mars didn't care, he walked up to her as to say "hello". Athena didn't like that much, she hissed and tried to strike Mars and then ran away."

I know that this is not bonsai related, but I just wanted to share with my extended family.
And to make it bonsai related I want to honor him in one way that I can. He is going to be burried out at my nursery.
I want to name the nursery after him somehow, suggestions welcome.
Attached are the last pictures taken of him just last week. I may add more later if thats ok.
-Paul

Paul...

I am sorry for your loss. Having had more pets than I can count over my life, I am well acquainted with your loss. It is always hard to lose so fine a friend. I wish you well over the coming days and weeks.

Yours most sincerely,

Hi Paul,

I'm sorry to hear about your Mars. I can see from the pictures he was the rare and friendly sort... cavorting with birds!

My sympathies,

Matt

Sorry to hear. . . .

Paul,

Yes, pets DO become part of our every day lives and of course part of the family.

I am sorry to hear this news and hope that it gives you comfort in sharing
the grief with us here.

May he live on in your Avatar and we will all remember him

Best wishes,
Ian.

Paul,
Mars was special to you two. Cats have a way of being almost human. You gave each other 5 years of happiness and untold years of memories.

Enjoy what you had and remember Mars, that way he will always be a part of your lives.

Be Well and Be Happy
Jay

Paul,

So sad with Mars.I know how you feel, loosing a friend hurts. And yes what was he doing making friends with the bird? One would think that would go against some rules in the kitty cat alliance and union groups.

Mars' Tree Farm,Mars' Bonsai etc..I think using the name is a good idea,Mars is an interesting name.

Hi Paul,
I dont know wat to say to you and your wife that goold expres how much i feel for your lost.
I lost my cat BiBi 4 years ago (age 17), and i am stil missing him, he had diabetes, and for about 5 years we had to give him injections in the morning and the afternoon, and feed him at the right times. Alldo this ment for us no more visits out of town or hollydays, i would do it all over again because he was one of my famely. After loosing him i thought i good not stand a other cat in my house, i just did not whant to say goodbuy to a other one! Well i am wrighting this with my new pussycat Kimmy next to me, so all i can say to you is: give it a place, and do name your nursery after him!
Mars is a great name for it!
Regards,
Hans van Meer.

Hey Paul, I know just how you feel after having to put my cat down three days ago due to a heart condition and he was only 8 months old...It sux....plain and simple...

He got all bloated and was very close to having seizures...

Kids were all broken up about it so we went out and got two little black kittens...Both of which are sitting next to me watching what I'm doing right now...

Good luck with your next kitty man...
