YOU CAN NOT RUSH TIME
|
This is very sad news!
When I first joined the Great Swamp Bonsai Society Bart was one of the first members to great me. He was a big teddy bear with a heart even bigger. He had a wonderful sense of life and will greatly be missed. The world is a little darker today. Jay

I've just noticed this thread and am really saddened to hear this news. I'd noticed Bart hadn't been posting in quite a while and that his health wasn't the greatest last time he was online. I often wondered how he was. Only last week I was tempted to post asking. I guess now I have my answer
![]() He was always a gentleman on here and very inoffensive. I will miss his posts and his insights. My sincere condolences to his family. I only hope their grief is eased slightly, in the knowledge that he was held in high regard by people all over the planet. Rest In Peace Bart. All the best, Aaron

We are lessened by his loss here on earth, but the best bonsai collection there is just added another fine person to the gallery.
I'll miss Bart on the forum. I never met him in person, but one day I will change that. Rest in peace, John

A sad day passes in the world of bonsai every time an artist passes, now we must continue to strive for perfection in Bart's memory.
My condolences to Barts family. Rowan

This is sad news indeed. I have not been on bonsaiTALK in months and the first time I visit back it is upsetting to see this on the front. I considered Bart to be one of my best bonsaiTALK friends. I spent a day with him when he visited Vero Beach, and I spent a great deal of time with him at the World Bonsai Convention including eating lunch with him during the ABS competition. I will sure miss him.

Wow I haven't been here in roughly over a year and I saw the "(deceased)" tag onto Bart's name. I remembered Bart as always being friendly and helping out not only me, but many others, rest in peace.
