GSBF 2005 Viewing Stone Exhibit
The following are images from the Viewing Stone Exhibit at GSBF.
Some comments about the first two. First is a display in memory of Jerry McNey, late husband of May McNey, editor of GOLDEN STATEMENTS for several years in the past. The second is a stone that knocked me over when I first saw it. I was told that in a recent exhibit of world class stones, it got best in show. It was found in the Trinity River, California. Enjoy Mike

Learning the mechanics of bonsai is a matter of rote. Over and over again the processes are practiced until the hands and eyes know the moves. Learning the art of bonsai may be more like water wearing away a stone, or climbing a mountain where the peak is always shrouded in fog and just out of reach. Persist, and someday you may see the peak in sunshine. You may pick up the stone and it's a thing of beauty. MP@BBB Studio |

Mike,
Thanks for posting. I always find the stones, accent plants, stands and pots, all the things that make a display, as interesting as the trees. |
