Pootsie,
No free advanced demos again this year? Too bad. Always enjoyed those.
I guess just the beginner workshop each day.?

As far as I know, Dale. I haven't been involved with planning it, but I'll be there to help set up and tear down. Good old-fashioned apprentice-type stuff

Well, I went to the Columbus Bonsai Society Board meeting tonight just to see if I could pitch in for the show, and was immediately drafted as Recording Secretary, so I am now a member of the Board!

The show is June 18 & 19 at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Come one, come all!

As a Board member, I'm gonna push hard to expand the website

I am also a refugee from Cleveland, been here about 7 years now. You should enjoy Columbus I find its everything that Cleveland wasn't. Best thing about Columbus? No lake effect snow! Hope to see you at the show, I'll be there on the 19th.

Looking forward to seeing you CFDMIKE!

I'll be the bald guy with the digicam and the strange obsession with involving his cat in bonsai. I plan to take pix of all trees and with luck get a few in the clubs gallery here.

I won't be showing any trees this year, but next year I will you betcha!

Funny, in clubs, there's always an opening. I got sucked right in to the new position. The board members said, "Hey, this guy brought a pen AND a notepad -- Make him secretary!" Happy to do my part.

Howdy all,

I just discovered this BonsaiTalk forum in searching for info on Mugo and I've been a member of CBS for a year, after that Mini Mugo workshop in May my mini Mugo is taking a bitchin swan dive for the compost heap. But alas live and learn...I will be at the show on Saturday browsing and on Sunday for tear down, eventhough it's father's day and I just became a new dad!

Congrats on the new daddyhood, Ethan!
My mini mugo is likewise headed for the great compost heap in the sky, pity.

See you at the show!

HEAR YE, HEAR YE!

The August 21 meeting of the Columbus Bonsai Society will be a ficus workshop. Available varieties will include Kiki, too little and perhaps green island. 2:00PM at the Frankin Park Conservatory.

There will also be some show & tell & general discussion of ficus culture and styling.

Small trees (6" pot, 1 inch caliper) are $15 for the workshop, and larger trees (8" pot, 1.5 inch caliper) are $25 for the workshop. Pot & soil included.

pootsie,
who is sure the ficii will fare better than the workshop mugos
