Club Shows

I've never been to a bonsai show...and i've been growing them for 30 years (off and on).I'm curious....and i know the answers will depend on location and quality of trees,but............

does the general public attend much?..or is it mostly club members and traveling bonsai afficionados?

I had intended to attend my first(the lonestar bonsai federation convention) this year, but as it turns out, previous commitments will not allow.....

GILBERT(Gilbycantu)!!!!!.....take some good pictures........Please

Andy I think it depends where it is. e.g.: at a hotel or alike probably very low public attandance, in a public garden e.g.: floral garden or as part of a flower show where people normally visit, attendance will be high. I geuss it comes down to te fact that people won't go out there way (unless they've got an interest) to see a bonsai display but will look if theres one at hand.

Ask yourself this do you go and look at cheese shows? but will you look and tase if you happen to be next to one?

Jonny.
