bonsai society charter - sample

One of our club officers is drafting a charter. Would like to see a sample. Any suggestions?

My only suggestion is KISS.

Charters are living documents and can be amended as needed. Doin't make it so hard to amend that it is cumbersome to future members, like requiring a vote of 3/4 of members to change because you never get that meany to show up to vote!

"...requiring a vote of 3/4 of members to change..."

Try something like 3/4 of members preset...plus mail/email voting.

A quick google showed up a couple simple formats.

IMHO, a club is run on the strength of its members and their willingness to volunteer, so the charter merely facilitates this.
