Hey John,

It wasn't only bonsai on display that evening. I would post a picture but Ulva is quite shy when she is not on the clock. And yes, you were right that your cigar would make quite the companion piece for that three point display.

You keep up the Swedish lessons and we'll practice our Spanish and exchange more stories next time in Hayward. Viva Los Coniferites!

If nobody posts pictures soon, I'll be forced to put up some of my quickly taken ones.

Juan,

Juan

Startin to sound like lunch time at the job! Nothing like a garage full of sheetrockers and 4 hibachi's cranking out carne asada and fresh tortilla's.

Sin embargo, Brian G, Java-Scott y misma tenían pozo bonito hicieron compras el mercado pelado. Esperanza usted puede hacer la décima demostración grande del año el enero Page Rankingóximo. Cuidado de la toma, Juan

And translated to Californian (pre 1990 traditional Californian):

Mr. Al,
We missed your bright and sunny visage at the show. A couple of the club elders commented that it wasn't quite the same without you. However, Brian G, Java-Scott and myself had pretty well shopped the marketplace bare. Hope you can make the big Tenth year Show next January. Take care, Juan

Well....the truck was packed with Suiseki for Ms. Janet Roth to check out. About 9Pm on Saturday night I had chest pains. Pretty hard too, three big ones. Revirberated all through my body. Then came the nausea and the cold sweats. I looked at my wife, and she could tell something was wrong. I said.." I don't want to alarm you but I think we need to go to the hospital". She dialed 911 and in about 2.3 minutes sirens were screaming to my address. They came in and hooked me up to all sorts of EKG's and monitors and stuff. They ran a test and it was inconclusive, but they didn't think I had a heart attack. They decided that it would be best to be transported to be sure. So.... I took an ambulance ride to the emergency room while having an IV stuck in my hand and all the joys that accompany an ambulance ride.

Upon arriving at the hospital the wheel decided to hang up on the gurney and they nearly dropped me off the board, they forgot to unhook the two electrodes off my neck and nearly jerked my head off, then forgot the finger cuff and nearly broke my finger in the side protection of the gurney.

All was negative and I was allowed to go home at 1:35AM with my new prescription of Prilosec. They said I had a Phardt attack. Needless to say I did not feel like driving close to 500 miles round trip after 5 hours of sleep.

I'll see the trees next year thank you very much.

Thanks Scott I have enjoyed the pictures posted and it seems to have been another class act from the premiere bonsai group in the nation.

Cheers, Al

PS, John, I will catch up with some of those elders at Shohin. Maybe Janet too. I did have fun at my exhibit at the Lee Institute on Sat. I will post some pics later.
