Badger Bonsai Society

In this thread, we will add events and comment about the Badger Bonsai Society, we meet on the second Thursday at 7:00pm of each month at Olbrich Gardens (3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI).
We have around 60 members and they club is getting more active.
We have a website, but it is only updated once or twice a year.

Annual Club Dinner

Tonight was the clubs annual dinner. Held at Imperial Gardens in Middleton.
We had an addendance of about 40, almost everyone in the club showed up, even the ones from IL.
At the end of the dinner there was the door prize "raffle". Everyone gets one ticket just for showing up. Our prizes were
2 very nice Italian bonsai pots,
3 bonsai books,
a watering can,
a signed Japanese print called "Horni Hari" of a Japanese man playing a horn,
an original ink drawing of a bonsai done by the club president Bonsai Bob Eskeitz he has done one every year for the last twelve years,
2 sets of 6 note cards with the past twelve years of bonsai drawings,
and of course the boobie prize of a plastic bonsai tree.
The funny thing is, is that Bonsai Bob won the boobie prizes. He was shocked and said "I have $1000 bonsai trees and now I have this!?!"
What a hoot.
Anyway I actually won something, I never win anything, I got the ink drawing of a bonsai tree (see attached pic).

What a fun time it was. It's kind of wierd to be 28 and be the youngest one there. Oh well.

Nobody knows whats happening next month, kind of up in the air.
If any of you are ever in the area stop on in.

-Paul
