JUst a few photos of the varied and really great material brought to the workshop. This is the kind and variety of material that makes it fun for a person from out of town to come and help out with.

A gold cup oak.

One of the other tables. This was great workshop. One of the neat things I was able to talk with Ted about was thickining trunks. I will post this in a seperate thread later after I right the short but informative article. Any questions I will be happy to answer.

Al,
Great group of photos you've posted! Thanks for sharing and taking the time to post them. Wouldn't it be nice to have unlimited time and resources to travel all over the country to events like this? Wishful thinking on my part!

That is one weird cedar - at least it looks like a cedar. It it were mine, I'd angle it in completely the other direction when I repotted it and bring the foliage back much closer to the main trunk so that it looked like the top half of a 'z'. I would even be tempted to repot first as cedars take a while to recover from repotting then chop it the following season. At the moment it looks as though someone tried to tie a knot in it! Hope this makes sense, and only my two penn'orth. How did/will it turn out?
