i can't remember if anyone has already mentioned this but i think the problem is that there aren't enough branchlets closer to the trunk or enough branchlets in general on the main branches.

Given that this is a first definitive styling of (fairly) recently collected material, one wouldn't generally expect to find fine branching.
That comes later with fertiliizing and pinching. I'd expect in about 5 years this tree will be very nice. Jim Stone TX |
