In theory GSBF won't let you post anything convention related. You could post the before & after shots taken in your hotel room, though, or someplace that looks like it could be your hotel room.

Sorry for the confusion. This workshop is after the GSBF convention. Walter has agreed to work with our local club while he is in California. I don't think pictures of the workshop will be a problem, but I will ask Walter's permission first.

Sorry, it was probably just me being confused! I'm looking forward to your photos. Be sure to get a shot of the teacher and yourself with the tree, that is often overlooked and may be valuable to you later, whether you keep the tree or sell it!
Regards, Matt

Brian, I'm interested in knowing what medium you have that pyracantha growing in? It looks pretty uniform in size and pretty much looks like thats the only thing in the container.

Al,
The pyracantha is in 75% turface, 25% composted rice hulls (Amend). The top has a layer of 100% turface to bring it up to the level I wanted. I'm beginning to really like nearly 100% turface for alot of things. Great drainage, good CEC, retains moisture. Brian

the spruce does it for me, if your ever in the uk, id be more than happy to work on it. i think it offers the potential to portray a natural and very beautiful tree.

I do too David. But I must admit the spruce scares me - really good potential, but I've heard they're hard to work with. Any tips would be appreciated.
Cheers Brian
