nip Fertilizing my Mind Join Date: Nov-2006 Location: Gulf Coast Country: USA USDA Zone: 8/9 AHS Heat Zone: ? Posts: 93	Ben Oki workshops Just wondering how his workshops are... Does he just shape trees and make a drawing or does he explain what/why he is doing things in detail? Any opinions appreciated. I may be attending one of his workshops next year.

Posts: 45	Hey Nip, Our club, The Azalea City Bonsai Society, is having a Ben Oki workshop on Jan 2, 2007. I have attended two so far ( this is a yearly thing for our club). It is a very enjoyable experience. He spends time with each person; asks you what you see in the tree, styles your tree; then draws you a drawing of what he sees in the tree. Ben is a very nice person and is very pleasent to talk to and be around. You can go to our website, azaleacitybonsaisociety.com, and see some pictures of a couple of the workshops.
