Specimens Available
To any Bonsai enthusiasts in the Sarasota area: I have acquired (and/or acquiesced) a collection of trees in various stages of development that I am looking to liquidate. Many are seedlings of uncommon specimens. In many cases, I have already removed taproots so the nebari is developing early on. I had it in my noggin that I was going to set up a booth at the farmers market and create a Bonsai Nursery. However, the commitment required to the farmers market was more time than I could spare. So, I am offering many of my specimens to you guys for really cheap – if not free in some cases. Here is a list of some things that I have:
Bald Cypress Camphor Carissa Macrophylla – Natal Plum Chinese Elm Desert Cassia (Senna Polyphylla) – (great plant!) Dwarf Pomengranate Dwarf Powderpuff Ficus Benjimina Firethorn (pyracantha) Groundsel Tree Jabily Limeberry Orange Jasmine Red Maple Serrisa Simpson Stopper Strangler Figs (many with copious aerial roots!) Sweet Acacia Sweet Gum Texas Ebony (many) West Indian Mahogany I have other things (some of which I don’t have any identification for). If you are interested in coming over to look, email me at aaronboard@yahoo.com |

Throwster... I moved your thread here, and deleted the other one. You can post things for sale here once in a while.
Also consider using the auction site, for some of the more interesting trees. Joanie

Any pics you have of these trees might help you a great deal in getting rid of these.

Sarasota Florida?
I am in Lakeland and a member of the Bonsai Society there. Are you in the Sarasota club? John Petterson is the President of that club as well as ours and I know Eric Wigert, the VP of the Sarasota club too. Sorry to ramble. What is still available? Send me a PM on this forum and we can discuss what I am interested in. If It's worth my time to make the drive I will come over. I have no time until next Friday so contact me before then and we can chat. Do you have any photos or can you take some?
