ok..tomorrow I will be cutting the trunk off. The roots have filled the bag completely and is growing very fast! Most are brown in colour and the spagnummoss is being sucked dry of it's water. I've chopped a few branches off from the top bit there it's too long. I'll do a trunk chop and cut it down to size tomorrow as well as chop off the branch.
Will post pictures soon! (It's start of late summer here).

Today was the day! The roots have browned off and it was time to remove it.

With spagnum moss peat and some course sand, I put the branch inside the pot which I hope will last a year. On top of that I added a few shreadded pieces of long spagnum moss

So what I did was chopped off the top, and applied some grafting paste to seal in the moisture.

I proceeded to cut off leaves with my scissors...removing about another 30 percent - 40 percent more.

After that, I put it under this little shade area (since the summer is still quite hot) and put a piece of bubble wrap over the pot loosely to keep the sun and wind from drying the soil out. I also tied two strings to the layer to keep it from rocking and swaying. There are a few spiders or aphids on the tree but I figure I'll just leave them there for now. They won't do much damage...yet.

Hopefully, this will live..it should start dropping leaves because the roots won't be able to support all these leaves...but thats ok..it's decidious

Any comments and feedback is more the welcome as this is my 1st time doing this and such a big branch too!!

lesson learned? one main thing is...try to layer the top of the branches!! It's such a hassle trying to cut the length and all ...find out what you want in length 1st, then layer it!

I would like to have seen a pic of the root system before you potted it. It looks like you got a good thick branch. Good luck to you.

I think you've pruned enough foliage to balance it with the new root system. If you keep it in the shade there is a good chance it won't drop any leaves.
