Hi nfimb,
I personally don't buy trident seeds. I collect them from a tree at my Uncles house, and i have no loss if they don't germinate. For this reason, i have never stratified them, no need. I just chuck them on the garden bed and what grows, grows. Survival of the fittest  If i had no access to free seeds though, and had spent money on them, i would have followed your steps. So, i don't know if this is normal, maybe somebody else can tell you. But, i hope you washed that salt shaker VERY well. Salt isn't a good thing for seeds. JayC |

Yea, i sprayed it out with hot soapy water... but even then. we havent used that salt shaker... in probably a year... so if there was anything in it... Its gone.
But yea. Im just soaking them cause they were dry and ill probably actually just plant them in the ground... in a couple weeks... ill keep them in the fridge till then... |
