Starting Black Olive Seeds

Ok... I need advise A friend purchased a Beautiful Mature Black Olive on his way to visit me. While he was here the tree dropped seeds that I have been keeping. My question is "When" and "How" do I sow this seeds to get the best chance of success. I am in zone 5/6 and have limited bright light locations for these seeds. Can and should I wait till March/April to plant them? What is the best way to keep them till then and should I plant them as I would any other seed? Thanks Jay

Re: Starting Black Olive Seeds

Sounds like they should be harvested and planted immediately.

"Propagation from seed. The tiny flower progresses to green seeds, then tan and then brown in about 2 months. Gather the seeds as soon as they fall, for they are more vital and willing to germinate in the first ten days after they ripen..."
