Silver Maple cuttings?
I was wondering if anyone has had success with taking large cutting from Silver Maple (Acer Saccharinium)... There is a beautiful set of branches that have to be cut from the Maple in front of my house next spring (or before), due to it's proximity to power lines, and I was wondering if it was possible to make it a cutting, as it has a desirable shape for bonsai... Does anyone think it would be successful, or should I just toss the branches into the "dead plant" pile in the back yard?
Thanks! ~Brian |
