Im very happy to hear this about the ebay seller jewelsnw. Im about to finish buying red pine, white pine, and japanese maple seeds from this seller and this has made me very confident. I bought about 600 seeds, 6 different trees, from an ebay seller called dukesnursery. I havent received them yet but i will keep this thread posted on their quality.

yes, been about 2 weeks and I havent seen or heard anything from them. I emailed them a couple of times with no response. They better be good seeds for the wait.

Has anyone ever ordered from Angelgrove Seed Company? They are kind of high priced, but they have a very good assortment of tree seeds.

dukesnursery responded to my email within a day.

Angelgrove seems nice. I never ordered because of the price. I do like their Bonsai collection of seeds.

if anyone else has had a good experience(or bad) with seeds from another ebay seller or website, please post here.

I enjoy ordering from Seedrack, on both eBay and his website : www.seedrack.com .

For the record I have ordered from Jewels twice. First time I bought a plant. When it arrived it was not what I paid for. I liked the plant and asked her to identify it thru a pic I sent her when it was in bloom. I never got another responce even after 4 more e-mails. SEcond time I ordered Chinese Elm none of which sprouted.

I bought from seedrack (not bonsai) some pawlonias. which are supposedly the worlds fastest growing tree. When they sprouted within a couple days of planting I was overjoyed. They got about 1 1/2 inches tall and bloomed. I knew this could not be what I ordered so I e-mailed them as well. They assured me that what I was describing did not come from them as they didn't sell anything like it.

I have bought from Dukes on ebay as well. Not a one of the trident maples came up. All of the seeds were handled as they were supposed to be after I recieved them.

Sorry guys not trying to sound negative but I have not had good success from seed from the internet. Maybe some of you guys know the inside secret to getting them to sprout. I have asked on this forum before but haven't gotten anything useful.

I will probably be a sucker and order again. There are varieties that just aren't available any other way where I live. No nurseries are close to me In South Georgia.

Just got my seeds from dukes nursery today. They never responded to my emails but the seeds ended up here anyway in about 10 days since auction ended. I didnt look at all of them but the trident maples seemed alittle shriveled up, not seriously but just dont look fresh to me. I dont know if its normal or not but we'll see in the spring.

Timeless, at least the seedrack ones sprouted!

Yep a nice patch of weeds Kev! LOL Live and learn. I just ordered another 1000 seed from the net of different varities. This time I am not using the fridge to stratify. I'll sow them outside as well. Any advice would be appreciated.

I found a seed wholesaler who sells seeds by the weight. Great prices. An ounce of jap maple seed is about $30 and has an average of 3000 seeds per ounce. They have all of the maple and pine varieties, still looking though just found them today. they also list when the seeds were harvested, germination test results( jap maple was 90 and when the next batch of fresh seed will be available. Looks like this is the way to go. '

Does anyone know anything about Brazilian Rain Tree seeds?
