Seed Stratification
All my seeds are telling me that they recommend that i straify them for 60 days but that i don't need to, they should grow without straification. My question is, what does this do for the plants? Is there something more to it other than tricking it into thinking it's gone through it's period of dormancy?

Re: Seed Stratification
Stratification softens the seed coat so that the moisture in the soil can penetrate into the seed and activate the embryo plant inside. _It's more a question of the plant being "fueled" than fooled.
You'll find a bit more on stratification in bonsaiTALK Links ->EDUCATION->Techniques->Propagation or just type SEED in the search engine that appears there. Regards, Matt
