Depends. I have had some just not take. I just did a dwarf pyra 2 months ago and it is almost ready to be cut from the parent. Did you use rooting hormone above the cut? I found that the over the counter stuff is not quite strong enough for thick woody pryacantha for some reason. Got a powder that has a higher concentration of the 'stuff' and that may have made the difference. Did you use clear plastic so you can see the progress? I was able to see the new roots at about one month.

yeah i did u plastic, i will check and see how it is going . I did u rooting hormone, over the counter i guess, i started this layer in may of this year.
