Privet softwood cutting
How well do privet softwood cuttings do? If I plant it in a regular pot, how do I know when I can move it to a bonsai pot?
Any tips/suggestions? Thanks, Lily |

Privet are semi easy to root. I would wait a year after you are certain it has rooted before moving it to a different pot.
Also, if you want to promote maximum growth, do move it to a bonsai pot, which means a small pot. Better go with a bigger pot to promote root growth and consequently branch and trunk development.
