Pear And Seckle Pear

Has anyone ever seen a seckle pear? I saw one today, the size is very small, that of a large crab apple, and I began to think. I wonder if the tree can be bonsai-ed. Then I thought I can bonsai a poplar if I want, granted it would be hard, so why not try one of these. Does anyone know if the seeds from a store fruit would grow, and if not or so, how to propogate them ( cold stratification, time to plant etc). Thanks in advance.
