Hi. I've tried olive seeds once. They have an incerdalby thick coating around the seed. I used a file to open the coating so air and water could reach the seed. They germinated about 2 weeks after sowing. If you don't do this I think it would take a long time before they germinate

The sanding is a good idea, I also soaked mine in water for 24 hours after that. Use hot water in a glass, pop the seeds in and just let them sit on your counter for 24 hours. Don't worry if it goes over, it will probably help, and then just sow them. Keep your temperature about 70 degrees. I grew mine in my basement, which is about 60, and it took about 3-4 weeks, but they did come up. Good Luck.

Big Smile and more patience...........

and then more patience, for years. I hope you are young enough to have the time to wait for that Olive to become a tree.

Good luck, Hec
