Liquidambar seed pods

Hi folks, could anyone tell me how to propagate liquid ambers from their seed pods. I,ve grow a number of other species from seeds but am unable to find out what to do with liquid ambers.

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks in advance.

Fozz, it may be that you aren't spelling it right, so you can't get a search going. It's spelled "liquidambar", all one word, with an "a" at the end. Try searching with that name here, we discussed them a while back I think.

Thanks Joanie, you've been a great help. With the correct spelling you gave me I found out that I need to get the seeds out of the pod to start with then I can actually plant the seeds as you would Trident or Japanese Maple seeds. I'm going to give it a go and see what I can get to germinate, will post the outcome in the spring.

Thanks once again.
