Japanese Maple
I got a Acer growing in my front yard and i want to take seeds from it and grow them.
Whats the best time to take the seeds and what are some good techniques for growing them? Do i need to worry about stratifying? Any thoughts on the matter would be helpful. |

Lots of Japanese Maple q's huh? hehe Well anyways... check out my harvesting thread. http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/showthr...ghlight=harvest I usually pick them late november early december. A good rule of thumb I go by is, -the seeds are ready when the seeds fly off (not fall off) when you shake the tree- or you can compare the color of your seeds with my seeds.
