Ginko Biloba Stump
I got a ginko at a nursury and put it in a bonsai pot and to get it to fit I had to chop the lower section of roots.... this ginkos roots were different than other root systems I have seen.....the trunk came down and just below the dirt level there were a good bunch of radiating roots...then the trunk started up again and a few inches down there was another set of good radiatin roots.....so any how I chopped the sub trunk just below the first set of roots and put my tree in the bonsai pot and put the stump in some dirt.
I heard that ginkos are able to grow from stumps...... Is spring an ok time for this or should I just toss the stump. Any body have any experience with this ![]() ?thanks any info would be great... levi

Just bury it an inch or so under the soil and see what happens! It may take six months or so to sprout, but you'll probably get something.
