Gift Of A Branch

I was just given a branch off a Japanese Bloodgood Maple and wanted to know what is the best way to turn this into a bunch of little maples?? It is a full branch 2 ft long with softwood sections leaves and all. It is young anthe main branck is about the size of a pencil or less. Any help is appreciated and soon as I have it in water at the moment and would love to save it.

Thanks

Well if you have a greenhouse, bottom heat, mist and rooting hormone, you'd have a chance; otherwise go back and do an air layer or maybe take some grafting material next spring.

Regards,

Matt
