Thawed out again Join Date: Aug-2002 Location: Pa`auilo Country: USA USDA Zone: 11 Hawaii AHS Heat Zone: 10 Posts: 77	Fungicide For Seeds Aloha All, Can anyone give me some info on what specific type of fungicide to use for dusting seeds. I just got some trident maple seeds and I got some information that said before I stratify them I need to dust them with fungicide. Is this just normal plant fungicide or is there a specific one? Expanding the bonsai family...... Aloha, Harold

TreeBay Tips:5¢ Advice:Free *MODERATOR GROUP* Join Date: Aug-2001 Location: Silicon Valley Country: USA USDA Zone: 9 AHS Heat Zone: 4 Posts: 9,745	I think the most common fungicides are Captan and Benomyl. It might depend a lot on what is available to you in your area. Don't inhale any of that fungicide stuff though. On the whole they seem to be more dangerous than insecticides.
