First, It's GREAT to see the site up and running again!!!!!
Now to the question. Can a European Beech tree (Fagus sylvatica) be air layered and if it can, how well do they take? The reason I want to air layer my beech tree is the it has a lump on the truck at soil level and the roots are 2 to 3 inches under the soil. And I was thinking i would air layer just above the lump? I am trying to do my first air layer on a maple, so I have no real experience at layering at all. So if any one can help I would be very thankful. Dave ![]()
