Here is a far better version of the virt I was trying to creat, anyway. I have learned a couple things about Photoshop, so I'm eager to keep on trying.

For this composition, I think the strength is mostly in the concept rather than the execution. It looks like someone just let this thing gro wild. The shaggy bark is simply ridiculous, imho, so that needs to be cleaned up and it needs a haircut, BADLY.

I agree the rounded pot is not the best. I went with a rectangular pot, and cleared out one of the smaller trees to create dynamis, rather than add more. And worked up more empty space on the left.

Pootsie,

Very Nice. Easily the best Virtual transformation of a TOTD that I have seen so far ! How much did that cost your employer ? (Man Hours)

All the best
Ian

Matt,

As an idea - how about closing each day with your choice of the best virtual and then putting the "Before and After" as the closing photographs on each thread side by side at a decent size.

Best Regards,
Ian.

Also, over here we have "Top Of The Pops" well known abbreviated to TOTP - so should not the Menu shortcut at the top of the page be "TOTD" ?
