Slingshot available for hire !

Wow,
I'll be brave again and go first. (Matt: can we have a trembling in fear smilie please ? )

There was a good discussion on a "slingshot" tree recently and this one certainly fits the bill.

I am pressed for time today, but would quickly get rid of that smaller arm and work on a more literati look with this tree. The pot is also way too small and has the effect of making the whole composition look planted too high.

Hopefully someone will do a "virtual" along the lines I'm thinking.

Cheers,
Ian.

to get rid of the slingshot look I would get rid of the larger branch to the right, this would also give the tree a better taper.

My suggestion (with apologies to Orazio Gentileschi and an unnamed midwestern lawyer):

For those of us who are artistically challenged, that is David over a fallen Goliath, now with the weapon in hand.

Hey, I thought I'd seen it before and Matt said we wouldn't know any of the owners. (Cry) Sorry pootsie.

He must be running short of "iffy" trees - I'll have a look through some of mine and send him some on (Smile) N.B.Smilies not working for some reason?

Ian

I said you aren't likely to know the owner. In this case, the tree is an ex-parrot. In the words of Monty Python, "if it weren't nailed to the perch, it'd be pushing up daisies..."

Regards,

Matt
