TOD for 20MAR2006

This is an Itoigawa juniper trained in the yamadori style. It is wired while very young and squashed. It is then grown and trained making use of wired branches for deadwood. The tree is 6.78 inches tall.

You can use the pencil tool under the attachment to make notes.

I like all the components in this, but I've made a couple of changes.

a pet peeve of mine is round pots with one foot in the centre/front

I turned the chap round too but maybe he was better gazing into the distance

Regards,

Chris

I agree with Chris about the pot.

I also think the dead branch hanging down on the right detracts from the curve of the main trunk and unbalances the tree. I'd remove it.

Great little tree, lots of detail for 6.78 inches.

i agree with chris about the pot, but i'm not sure what i would do with it, so i have placed a little more foliage to fill it out, and the mudman in this virt explains the rest. great little tree.

To me this tree appears to have a reverse taper. I would like to see it from a different angle. Maybe it could use a little piece of dead wood to give the appearance of a more aged trunk.
