I believe Attila has a valid point. The contest as he sees it has merit. Just as we can... and should, learn from the past contest, the basics that Attila uses for a possible future contest would also lend itself to learning. Of course those with the ability to spend more or those with great collecting grounds would 'seem' to have an advantage, but in reality the entries from the better artists would be the ones to rise to the top.

In Attila contest (forgive me for naming it) the more advanced members would be able to show their stuff. Perhaps the entry would require a short before comment on what is to come, and the finished(so to speak) picture would have a future vision in either words or even vertual.

Forgive me for entering this thread 3 days after it seems to have been put to rest, but I was away from the puter since Thursday morning and just got to read this post this evening

my 2 cents
Jay

Thumbs up

mistakes are necessary-instant perfection is 'ho hum'--I enjoy searching for the potential in below average trees.I don't always find the potential but when I do an interesting evolution occurs-sometimes we learn more upon the side track.
