How about this one...or two?

Air-layer at the top of top of the forth left branch (spoke branches). Now you have a nice smaller subject…

As for the lower one, set the nebari lower in the soil…half inch? More? Depends on size…then be gone with all branches on the left side.

Finally, trim and adjust the branches and finish off the scars, and…

Walla! A pretty wild wind swept!

pat you da man, i like your thinking although i would probably only use the first 2 right branches to get some real drama going. i dont have any emotion stopping me on that. of course air layer the rest off.

no question this is the tree of the 2. faults and all it leaves the cookie looking like a stooge.

but id be stoked to have either one.

I like the general overal shape of the tree, and doubt I would classify that first low branch as a "pocket branch." I think it sets the tone of the tree and is one good example of "bending the rules" to good effect. I might even consider air layering the entire top clump for a bonsai in...hmmm...what style might we use for a clump of trunks like that....don't tell me....lol.
