Display Stand W/ Display

I filled the convention stand with some plants this evening. These are some plants that I cleaned the pots of white deposits. Spent some extra time since some of these plants may make their way to the convention next week.

For sure the trident maple will probably make the show. The waterfall suiseki will be in it if I don't get the other stone cut and a daiza built for it. The boxwood may go too. I like the trunk and branches, but it is still a little small. The tree is 4" tall, with a 5" spread on the canopy.

Thanks for the kind words folks.

I had a free day on monday, so decided to blow out a couple of stands for the Shohin conv. in Feb. Two club members and I have decided to rent vendor tables at the convention for the purpose of selling our stands. The other two guys make stands also, but they are retired and can work at their leisure. Me, I have to get mine in when I can. I cut out all the parts to make a bi-level black walnut shohin rack.

Glued them up tonight. I finished one of them with tung oil. I haven't decided if I like the look yet. I like it, but I like the depth I get with lacquer.

The stand is 24" long x 7" deep. The top shelf is 11'' from the table. The top shelf measures 7" x 10".

Al - I am hoping to see one of your circular stands for sale! Are you still making them? I will look for your table at the Santa Nella convention in February!
