The Chinese Elm

I have never posted a pic of this ch. elm with an accent plant. Thought I would try it now.

Humbly submitted

I love this tree Thomas. I'ts been nice to see pictures of development over time.

I really like it with this accent, but my only humble suggestion would be to turn the accent 180 so they can talk to each other.

I tried a picture with them reversed (tree on left and accent on right, mirrored) but it didn't work well for my eye. This one did.

respectfully,
pootsie

Hi Pootsie,
Actually I did take a few shots with the accent reversed, but for my taste this one won out over the other. I'm glad you like it the other way also. I hope a few others will give their preference as to which way looks better.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I like Pootsie's version. Does the accent plant pot have a design on both sides, or would you have to scootch the accent around in the pot to have it face the other way and still have the design showing?

Beautiful, beautiful tree. What is it's history? How old, etc?

I love seeing your Ch.Elms Thomas. Either display works for me, but I lean a little towards Pootsies. I've also seen befores and afters of this tree and it looks so good, amazing job.

Thanks Evan,

Joanie,
go Here to my web site and click on page #5. This will give you a little bit of the history of the tree. It's probably around forty to fifty years old.

Hi Thomas, I have admired this tree for as long as I've been a member here, like Pootsie I have enjoyed watching its progression.

I like your original set up, but I think I like Pootsie's a bit more , for exactly the reason he suggests.

Regards,

Chris.

i really like your trees and this display especially. that being said i do enjoy pootsie's just a little more. i dont know if i would do a complete 180 but probably something more along the lines of a 150. it's really hard to say though without seeing it in person.

thanks a lot.
