These trees from around the world may give one inspiration to make a similer bonsai.

All trees have plain jane counterparts. Those are the trees I find ugly...but in the context as bonsai inspiration, not ugly for uglies sake. If I go for a walk with my wife along the avenue or sea shore, the world surrounds me with fine examples of trees at every turn. I don't need inspirational trees to enjoy a fine maple tree. I just don't wish to make my bonsai look like a maple tootsie pop. The world would be far ugly without these plain trees. The world is much richer with her fine examples of artistry. Those are the ones I seek out for my inspiration.

Fly, it is haiku. 5-7-5

Now and then I feel the need to express myself through haiku.

When talking trees, I think a very old old olive tree is the ugliest thing I've seen (only in pics).
