Just thought I would post that thought for those people that say " why did my tree die?" I hear that so much.

Why did my tree die?
What did I do?
I watered it every six and a half days...
Exactly.

I pinched off all of the green parts,
I scraped the bark off to make deadwood....
What do you mean "not all the way around!"?
Why not?

I fed it bone meal and Miracle Gro
And fish emulsion and coffee grounds,
And 0-10-10 and SuperThrive,
All in one month.

It sits on the piano in the hallway,
Under the skylight and next to the lamp
Right by the furnace vent....
Keeps it warm.

Why did my tree die?
What did I do?
I'm looking for another one
On ebay.

I disagree. It's a matter of time perception. We humans feel suicide is instantaneous, but trees don't usually do things as fast as us.

I am sure I have a wisteria that needs psychiatric help. It is in a pot for a semi-cascade style. It slowly, but surely, keeps growing so much foliage that it eventually gets top-heavy ands ends up falling off the bench. Thank goodness for the toughness of Sara Rayner pots!!! It's a "jumper".

In an effort to save it's life, I continuously cut it back, but it stubbornly continues to re-flush and grow with reckless abondon. I think it has a nitrogen addiction!!!!

IHOBID
I Had One But It Died. It's the name of a class that dick miller, the curator of the bonsai exibit morikami museam, teaches. Great intro to bonsai , and I believe his rates for classes are very reasonable..
