not necessarily. yes some trees used for bonsai will live for several centuries and a few even several thousand years. Depending on the pet or your age at the time you get a pet will factor in that it will outlive you. Tortoises, most species, can live upto 125 to 400 years of age. Parrots can live 50-75 years. And if you're in your "golden years" and decide to have a parrot chances are the bird will be in your will. Crowned_One(Steven)
