Wow it is nice to see people growing Black Pines like that here in the old US of A. We need more of that...

You are welcome anytime but late January to March is the best time to visit if you are wanting something from the field. I start digging early January, weather permitting.
Black pines do very well here. I will be planting 1,000 this spring, I have been planting about 300 but my goal is to sell 500 bare root each spring and pot up at least a 100 so I decided that I'd better plant at least a 1,000. All my pines are pre wired before they are planted. Thanks, Frank

Well John, just trying to get things put away for winter. Would like to put up a new structure for the newly collected pines and junipers so I can controll the amount of water getting to them (just need $$). Spent a few days at the Votech in Chickasha conducting a workshop, was a great time. Trying to get rid of my tropicals via ebay. And getting everything organized for the Marco workshop. But I guess the majority of my time has been spent on my new bug. You know a guy has to have a hobby. Thanks for asking John and I hope all is well at your nursery. Frank

Well John, we worked on it. We are more focused now and should be up soon. Ok call me a dreamer, but I thought it was a one day thing. At least we are on the same page and going the same direction. For anyone else who might read this besides you John, it is www.sonlightnursery.com. Oh the shameless plug.

People living (relatively) close by are reading...and waiting patiently for spring.

The fact that you like air-cooled bugs is a plus

I too am patiently waiting for spring. And I can hardly wait to see a lot of new faces.
It it is funny my vw friends think I should drop the bonsai and the bonsai friends think I should drop the vw's. Hey there is time for both. And here is a picture of my newest bug. It was one of those great deals that only come around once in a great while. It only cost me $600.
