Hey Al !! you were right. I went to the first store and there wasn't anything next to the drawer display. So at this time I began to turn red, and started to sweat. So, I walked out calmly and took deep breaths. Then I went to the second store and they had the L-susan mech. right next to the disply, just as you advised me. However, I forgot to mention that they only had 6, 12 inch mechanism's, so from that I took the 6 inch. and maybe I'll just have to make my round plywood a little smaller than the 12" circumfrence. Thanks alot Al for telling me about the area to look. Now my next deal is to try and find the lock. They have them on home dept's website, but not in the store. I must admit, most of them people that work there, don't know where anything is half of the time.

Jerry, thanks for sending the link from Loew's, but they didn't show if they had it in the store or not. But I guess I'll go and check again..

Don, that sounds like a good idea, very creative. Sometimes you have to use your imagination.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Get the SKU number off the website and call the store.

Turntable mechanisms and sliding window safety locks are staple hardware components that you can find at any major chain like Lowes, Orchard Supply Hardware, Home Depot or Ace Hardware.

Regards,

Matt

I had a hard time finding the sliding door stop also. I came up with a very cheap alternative. Check out my thread on Building a Turntable for my solution..
Hope this helps
Adam

Hello Adam , Thanks for the reminder, but I did look for the part that you put up. The people in the store looked at me like I was crazy. Where exactly did you get the very expensive part ?

I have to ask again if you are printing a picture of these items and taking them to the hardware store with you? side beam connectors aren't unusual. They are used for hanging rod from wood beams, usually to support pipe

Yes indeed I am taking photo, but I guess the people that I deal with at the stores are complete idiots. I mean this is something that's a part of their feild of interest, and they should be familiar with these things. Thanks Matt !!

I got the side beam connector in the plumbing department and the screw (later changed to a thumb screw) in the hardware department.

Hello Adam, Thanks again for your reply. I finally got the part from a plumbing supply store. A little more expensive than home depot, but worth it, since I did all of this extra driving around and burning useless gas. Anywho, I went to a home depot before I went to the plumbing supply place, and the guy at home depot was pretty much alright with knowing his parts. He said that they didn't have that part there, but the should because it is a very common part. He gave me this look like, "This stupid place." Well, that was my story for today. I would like to thank everyone who brought this thread back to life to help me out. Now I guess I put everything together this weekened. I"ll let you guy's know how I made out.
