Here are some close up shots off the old bark. The first on shows a small rock that is got some how in the bark many many years ago. Some people feel this dos not belong in a bonsai, maybe so, but i love it! The second pic is a close up off the base off the tree.
Hans.

Hi Hans, thanks for posting this.

That kid behind you who was not so impressed is my youngest son, Dan!

He might not have been impressed, but I was...

Chris.

Hi Chris, ha that is great! You must say hallo from me to him. I never notice him before in the pictures, until last week when i was going trough them again for this article. He really looks like he is going: O MY GOD STOP THAT MANIAC! I hope next time we have a change to actually talk to each other!
Hope to meet you some day,
Hans

Terrific work, nice piece of art.

Just one point of criticism on your technique; the roll of bandage you are wrapping around the branch, you are holding it the wrong way, you have to look in the bandage while wrapping it, now you are looking at the outside.
The other way around you don t have the risk of dropping it
( wijsheid uit mijn vakgebied, soms moet ik wel eens een rolletje verband hanteren in het ziekenhuis )

A very nice Work! Congratulations! It's surprising, i never thought about using bandages. May i ask why were they preferibly used instead of maintaining rafia. Is it because of something special in particulary?

Thank You for sharing,

Gustavo
