Yeah I got Plenty! Whether you would want them or not is hard to tell from the question.

Do you want good ones, bad ones, Trident, Japanese, etc?

Where are you might help too. Edit you personal preferences so we can at least know.
No point me offereing if you are not in Sydney AUS.

Ken

I'm always on the lookout for a good trident as well, and I've been searching for "the right one" for over two years now. I can tell you from past experience that you might as well sit tight and sharpen your tools or something until spring . . . you may come across a nice tree over winter, but in spring there will be a lot more.

When spring does come, there is a seller on eBay (can't remember his name) from Dowagiac, Michigan who sells WONDERFUL stock . . . . expensive, but worth every penny. Be prepared to spend at least $300 . . . . . probably more.

you might check weetree.com they are selling bare root trees. they have a few. you could also try to get ahold of john at vonsgardens in northwest arkansas. i think that he could help. there you could drive over and look at them in person.

If you're only two years into bonsai, I would avoid using Ebay--for that matter any online supplier-- to buy anything. Buying stock online can be a difficult thing to do, especiallyl if you don't know what you're looking at and how much it's really worth. You could wind up having a great experience or getting ripped off. The vast majority of tridents on Ebay are ridiculously overpriced. Some of it's just plan garbage with $300 price tags on it.

If you really want to spend that kind of money--a gnarly trunked trident can run anywhere from $200 and up over $2 grand or more--you'd better look at some trees in person.

This is a good place to start looking:

It might be worth calling some clubs to see where they're getting good stock.

I recommend you check with John at Vonsgardens (that's his screen name here, too.) He's not too far from us in the KC area, he's in NW Arkansas and has some nice prebonsai stuff.

Hi JB and any others in the Sydney area

I have no big Maples, but Ray Nesci at Dural NSW does. Lots of mature large stock to choose from.
