Why not show us pics of the type of material you are chasing? After all, this is a Bonsai site, and photos of Bonsai are more than welcome. Plus, I imagine you'll get more bites if the good folks here know what it is that you want. Thanks. Fly.

hmm could do that
Could do that but I am not a liberty of showing all my good trees to the whole world... I am more after genuine people that are willing to move on quality trees of a larger size as stated. Bonsai people are generally aware of their tree values, I have listed a few criteria, I think that would help enough. I do not want to limit any potental tree by posting pics of what I have.... all ofers and bonsai considered.

Gday JB. I can understand your desire to keep your collection safe from prying eyes. I still reckon that it would help to see just one example of the type and/or style of tree(s) you are seeking - even if the 'example tree' isn't one of your own. Some of my trees are bigger and better than some of my other trees, but I'm not certain what you mean when you ask if I "genuinely have large quality trees on offer". Thanks. Fly. PS: I'm not being pedantic here: I seriously believe that a more specific search would yield a more suitable result.

just try
Well if you are unsure just send a pic and I will tell you if that is the type of tree I am after or not. An example may restrict ones willingness to post a potential tree to me and I do not wish to do that. I would however send possible example trees if someone was to offer various trees for sale and showed some potential to be the type of style I am after.
I think my guidelines were quite clear. Descriptions. Large tree 30cm and above for example If a single tree it would need to have an interesting feature about it. Potential to be an outstanding tree if worked on over the next couple of years ( does not need to be show quailty) No Groups Multiple trunks considered, especially twin trunks I like more natural looking trees with character No Pines considered at the moment Willing to pay about $300-$1000 for each tree at the moment if I feel the tree warrants it (Each tree will be consulted with a close friend so that I do not undervalue each tree and it gets a fair value appraisal given the effort and growing put into it before sale) Thank you... I hope this helps JB Quote:

to be an outstanding tree in a couple of years. those trees are around but they usually start at the $2000 - $2500 mark. a tree that will be outstanding in 5 - 10 years is gonna cost more than $300. good luck and happy hunting.

Not to be taken seriously

Im trying to hunt down some a tree myself. At the local nursery the lady has both a red pine and a large radiata pine. I would like to find one of either myself. Sad to say though, my budget is very low
![]() I am also happy to take any tree that someone may nolonger have time for. Funny as it sounds I still dont have an actual bonsai tree at all! Last edited by Asus101 : 26-Dec-2007 at 12:18 AM. |

Just a side note, but holy moly, I can't tell whether some of the posts are sarcastic, straight or crooked. Text doesn't transfer well.
As for the original poster, why not join a local bonsai club, you'll see the member's trees and can offer a reasonable price to them. |
