Well, I've posted the first of the heymikey auctions, and it has gone pretty easily, with some help from Matt.

So easily in fact, I may need to auction off some of my own stuff as well.

Now I just need to learn some HTML to make my desriptions look more like the ads for superthrive(tm).

Looking good Bob,

If you can stomach using Internet Explorer, if only for a few minutes just as you make the listings, it will give you a full-featured WYSWYG editor. They're supposed to be working on a Firefox compatible tool, but that isn't likely to happen for a month or two.

Regards,

Matt

Bob, Matt,

Only a few of us will be able to win a HeyMikey tree on these auctions. Any possibility of some of the rest of us making a donation for the GSBF HeyMikey fund? Can we find a way to add donations to the funds generated by the auction, or should we donate directly to GSBF in HeyMikey's name?

Brian

Sorry Brian, I wrote it up but did not post it here. The full writeup is on the homepage in the news block or you can click here:

http://www.bonsaitalk.com/news/arti...0001/000169.htm

I don't want to duplicate the address so we'll keep all the links and instructions consistent. Let me know if you have any problem finding it now.

Regards,

Matt

Post your own HeyMikey Auctions

I just added a reminder that anyone is welcome to offer up items for the HeyMikey benefit auction.

All you need to do is log in at http://www.bonsaiauctions.com complete your registration and then click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to request a seller account.
  • It's a great cause and an excellent way to clean your bench, bookcase or closet.
  • We will reimburse you any listing or closing "fees" associated with the auctions you post to the benefit.
Please instruct your buyers to pay as follows

1. Easiest method is paypal to support@bonsaiTALK.com - ask them to specify the HeyMikey auction number and we'll let you know the funds were received so you can ship the item, and then we'll cut a check to GSBF at the end of each month.

2. Or they can pay you with a check made payable to Golden State Bonsai Collection – North. You would need to forward that to GSBF at the address here:
