Maple or elm wanted

This company emailed me today suggesting that they are about to dig up some field grown stock shortly, including Elms, not sure about Maples, but they would probably have Maples also i would imagine. Large stock though so not sure if 200 bucks will get you there??
Go Here http://www.stewartbonsai.com.au/ and contact them with your enquiry. Good Luck.

Cash available

Just a quick note that you will pay top dollar for these plants i.e. I am sure they are about $600 for the elms that I saw previously., but some of them are good. I am sure they do not have maples.

As i said JB, i dont think 200 bucks will get you there. They do have cheaper, younger stock though. They dont only sell large material, but they do sell very good material! Also he will have freight charges to add to the cost. If he wants to spend 200 bucks he might be better off going to a local nursery perhaps.....just a thought.....i dont want to step on your toes at all....just offering some options to answer his original question, tis all. What stock do you have for sale, i may know some interested ppl up here. A lot of bonsaiers seem to be using nurseries etc from interstate nowdays, the freight is quite resonable once you get your head around it and realise that there are far more options open to them by looking further afield then there own back yard. I have picked up some beautifull mature trees from the southern states over the last year and the freight costs arnt that great.
Regards
Peter.

I have 2 large elms with primary branching and some very large stock maple trunks. Went to Adelaide about 2 months ago and their nursaries were very disappointing. but they do have stock to collect like Olives, hawthorns and Ash.

Thanks for the link to this online bonsai nursery.
I tried to look at the contact details to see wich state they are in and the only contact is an email address. There may be legitimate reasons for this but I don't like it. I live 5 hours away from the closest bonsai nursery so I would buy a tree through the mail from a dealer I trust to send me what I like. I almost have this setup.
Although I would not be happy handing over $300-$600 for a pre-bonsai as they are selling without at least the option to view first.

I reckon this is top quality for under $100

Sorry about the edit JB daughter was on the phone while I was doing this post.
I was thinking they may email better pictures and might try that. I still don't like that they seem not to allow viwing in person if you wanted too.

They are happy to send photos of prospective trees.but I suggest you do your homework first before opening your wallet.

why not ask your fellow BT or club members if trees are up for sale... you will get a better price and prob be happier at the end of the day.

I would love to hear from members in Australia with stock to sell

I would also like to say It is great that this online bonsai store is looking at interstate sales to WA. It is often stated that it is not possible with plant material but I found it is a matter of jumping all the ropes
