P.S. I debated for a while over whether or not to start this thread, since it's not strictly bonsai-related. In the end I decided that bonsai is for me inextricably tied with a broader appreciation for all of nature's wonders - so I figured I'd go ahead and post the picture.

But I'll be happy to cancel the post (or simply avoid such off-topic matters in the future) if people would prefer. Let me know here or by private mail.

I completely missed it. Heard something about it on the news last night, then I went outside tonight around 5:30 or so (probably mid eclipse) and I was thinking. Gosh its getting dark early.

So I spent the eclipse working on bonsai, basically clueless

Something screwy in Fresno. When I looked at the sun I saw this! Maybe it's that Gene Roddenberry parallel universe thing. Nice photo Crow! But seriously, we had about 62% coverage of the sun here. Bonsaial
