A Funny Story

A lady I know found a very nice well established tree in a nursery, it was about six foot tall with nice thick trunk, and some very well placed lower branches, her intention was to chop the tree back to the lower branches, being very pleased at the potential of the tree she purchased it but being unable to put such a large tree in her car she asked to have it delivered.
Waiting at home in anticipation the tree finally arrived via a delivery company, the tree was lifted out of the back of the truck and placed on the ground and lo and behold all the good lower branches had dissapeared, on enquiring as to where the branches had gone the delivery man replied "oh we had to cut them off so as we could fit it in the truck"

Poor lady, I would have made them take it back

Interesting to note that your first response is to get irate and jump and down, and this is what a lot of people would do, but the person in question is the epitome of a bonsai enthusiast and when on receiving the dismembered tree and getting over the initial shock the kind lady said thankyou for delivering my tree and placed it on her patio as a pot plant without much further ado, not wishing to make a fuss as it's not the end of the world now is it!
She is an inspiration to us all, they may have been a time when I too would have felt like beating the delivery driver to death with the rootball of the tree upon seeing such a sight but now when I come across a minor hiccup in life like this I just think oh well it could be worse, I could have been born in Afghanistan.

I am sure there are countless peace-loving folks who are proud to call Afghanistan their home. After all, someone is buying these shirts.

Regards,

Matt
