Bonsai Kitten

You may or may not find this funny, but thousands of people took this spoof on bonsai seriously enough to forward a petition to their friends:

A link to www.bonsaikitten.com

and the real story behind it

Re: Bonsai Kitten

Any competent bonsai grower who read the bonsai kitten site months ago would realize that the MIT student who CREATED it had no bonsai training at all - I could have made it much more perverse.

Funny is not correct to describe it, perverese is in the eye of the reader, considering the Sep. 11 mass murders. Often, cuddly kittens are valued much more than human life because kittens are furry. I think slightly amusing fits best - I spent little time on the site because it contained nothing of interest. I did much worse things as a Stanford undergrad and even worse things at U Wisc. Neither of these institutions kicked me out for it, although I did have to wash off all the hot-rod stripes from the German director's VW.

This is site and fury signifying little, including bonsai art. How about directing all that petition energy into getting a lobotomy for Jerry Falwell?

If you look very closely under the edges of his toupe you can see some old scars. Think re-lobotomy.

Re: Bonsai Kitten

People pets plants, I do my best to do no harm. I found nothing of value in this web site. This leaves me wondering why it is on this forem. Bad does not get better just because it gets moved around.

Got to admit, I thought I had seen just about everything the Web had to offer. This one takes the cake. I'll agree with Rip. This thing needs to go away.

Someone on another thread about the bonsai kitten said that they had gone as far as reporting it to the FBI and they checked it out. I can't vouch if that is true or not but it sounds about right. To hell with the sniper in D.C., we want that bonsai kitten guy in jail.
